Keigwin is a unique middle school that brings together sixth graders from eight elementary schools in Middletown for one exciting school year. Our academic schedule and school organization helps students transition from their elementary school experiences to become more independent students. We ensure that they become increasingly responsible, organized and motivated to learn through ongoing advisory lessons, team activities and school events, creating a sense of school community.
Keigwin is committed to meeting the unique needs of the changing adolescent by supporting their intellectual, social, emotional and physical development. Through our teaming environment, the staff actively engages students in the pursuit of academic excellence and character building. We challenge all students to learn through involvement in a rigorous curriculum within a richly diverse school culture that encourages independent thinking, self worth and mutual understanding.
As the Principal of the school I am committed to making sure that each student’s sixth grade year is a memorable year of growth and development. We will be sure to keep families informed throughout the year of this exciting process. We encourage family participation and collaboration in school events that help strengthen Middletown’s school community.

Keigwin Middle School Supply Information for 2020-2021
In order to comply with District Social Distancing practices, students will not be using lockers this year. We are suggesting that students have a backpack to transport their Chromebooks to and from school.
To conform with safety standards due to Covid-19, a set of classroom supplies will be provided for each student. You may want to purchase any school supplies your student may use at home while on the district hybrid schedule.
The only item that must be provided from home is a facemask to be worn while waiting for the bus, on the bus, and in school.
